Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability: 1st ASEAN Technical Workshop

The Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability is an international, business-to-business
platform established to advance a unified framework for interoperable seafood traceability
practices. The Dialogue brings together a broad spectrum of seafood industry
stakeholders from across different parts of the supply chain, as well as relevant experts
from diverse regions. This Workshop in Bangkok is the first substantive session of the Dialogue in the ASEAN region.

Objectives for this session include the following:

  • For participants not already registered for the Dialogue, provide background on the
    purpose of the Dialogue and how to engage;
  • Discuss and confirm the scope, objectives, and initial agendas of GDST Working
    Groups 1 & 2;
  • Initiate the technical conversation of Working Groups 1 and 2 on key data elements
    (KDEs) and interoperable IT architecture.
  • Identify issues specific to the region and agree on how to move forward in the
    global discussion
