Snapshots: Philippines CDT System Undergoes Live Testing

Following the unveiling of the Philippines’ electronic Catch Documentation and Traceability System (eCDTS) in late 2017, USAID Oceans and BFAR have been conducting extensive internal system testing and optimization to prepare for roll out in the General Santos learning site. During the week of April 23, 2018, USAID Oceans, BFAR, and industry partners conducted live data testing for the eCDTS. Selected handline fishers, fresh frozen processors,  purse seine and canning companies tested data entry to identify and resolve final software challenges; the final step before the eCDTS is rolled out to USAID Oceans’ First Mover partners for everyday use.
