The USAID Oceans close out event in the Jakarta, Indonesia will be an opportunity to formally recognize and celebrate USAID Oceans’ achievements in the Bitung/Manado learning site to develop and test electronic catch documentation and traceability technologies, improve fisheries management, and promote the human welfare aspects of fisheries. It will also be a chance to thank public and private sector partners and will formally transition USAID Oceans activities to these partners to carry forward beyond the project.

Building upon the successes of the first Seafood Trackathon, held in Bangkok earlier this year, on October 26th and 27th, the Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability (GDST) is convening its second Traceability Hackathon, or “Trackathon” in partnership with USAID Oceans and SecondMuse.
